FAQ

Purchases and Commissions

How do I submit a commission request?
Please send all commission requests…

1. Through website under the “Contact & Customs”

2. Send an email to me at yangjewelryllc@gmail.com

3. DM on Instagram @yangjewerlyllc

Can I return my piece?
Returns are fully refundable after two weeks from the day it is marked as "delivered" by the carrier as long as the piece is in the same condition as it was when shipped. After two weeks, pieces will not be returned.

For custom commissioned pieces, all deposits and sales are final. If you’re unhappy with your piece for whatever reason please send me a message and I will see what I can do to fix it.

What should I do if my piece is the wrong size?
Rings- Depending on the ring, I can resize starting at $30.

Necklaces- unless otherwise specified, I will provide an 18”-22” chain of my choosing. If you want a specific length, please notify me via email at the time of your purchase.

How long does it take to get a piece?
From placing an order to receiving it, it can take 2-4 weeks depending on the purchase. All of my work is made-to-order and handmade.

*ALL ORDERS have a rush fee: $30+ depending on timeframe

Why don’t you take every commission?
I don’t take every commission because making jewelry is also art for me. Part of my philosophy as an artist is to stay true to my identity and style.

I also take into account the design you are looking for and my capabilities to deliver excellent results.

Are there projects you won’t do at all?
Nothing in a plated material, no casting. Send me a message and we can discuss options!

Can I have a consultation?
Yes! Consultations are free, video or in person.

How is your custom work priced?
I price based on the cost of materials and time it takes to make the piece. Before a piece is done I can give an estimate only and I will request a deposit (price will vary depending on commission). Deposits are non-refundable and will cover the cost of initial materials and time it takes to design your piece.

Do you offer payment plans?
For ready-to-ship online purchases, no.

For custom orders, an initial down payment is needed to begin the work. The remaining balance is due in full before shipping.

How are payments made?
Pay directly through the website.

What should I do if I decide I don’t want my custom piece anymore but already put a deposit down?
I will finish the piece and post it for sale. You may decide to purchase it again, but you will have to pay the full price, your initial deposit is not included or refundable.

Production

Can you remake a piece of jewelry that I saw somewhere else?
No. My jewelry is my own, and it is art. It’s unique to the maker and the wearer. I may look at other jewelry pictures for reference/inspiration to have an idea of what a client is looking for, but it will only be as a reference. I enjoy putting my own creativity into my work and will stay true to my style and art.

Do you do repairs?
Only on my own pieces.

What is made-to-order?
It means I make work as I go. I don’t have a large stock of each item. When you order it, I may have one or two, but chances are good I need to make it at time of ordering.

What does “hand making” your work entail?
It means everything I make comes from sheet metal or wire. From there I hand fabricate everything. I don’t use molds or pre-made items with the exception of chains and clasps (sometimes).

*IMPORTANT*
Because all of my work is handmade, no two pieces are alike. There may be slight variances between every piece!

Can I give you an old piece of jewelry to take apart and re-design?
Possibly, but it depends on what you want and the piece of jewelry. Send me an email and we can talk about it more!

Can I give you a stone to work with?
Yes, but I am cautious with this because I do not know the history of the stone/characteristics of the stone (there could be hairline cracks, etc.)

I also cannot gaurantee that I can use it. If this is the case, I will send it back to you.

Do you work in materials other than silver and gold?
No

Do you do bridal/wedding jewelry?
Yes, engagement and wedding rings are available upon custom inquiry!

I don’t know my ring size, how can I find that out?
Check out the "Ring Sizing" tab or my easy, at-home sizing guide!

Important: If you are requesting a ring for someone and don’t know their ring size, please do your best to find that out. I will not make a ring without a size. If a size is incorrect, I cannot always resize.

Custom Commissions

Custom work is non refundable (deposits and final payments).
